At this time of the year, it is not unusual to encounter large herds of cows. They are moving in search of food.
Meningitis vaccination at the LAP
In 2012, we lost a student to meningitis. Since then we vaccinate students each year. The vaccination is good for 3 years.
The meningitis in Burkina Faso mainly comes with the dusty winds at time of Harmattan (this wind comes from the Sahara Desert). The same way the rains stopped very early, the Harmattan arrived early.
Harvest at the farms
We harvested 2.000 kg of certified seeds of beans and 6.000 kg of certified seed of peanuts.
Sidi 2 water well
We already reported on the realisation of a water well in the school of this village. Saturday, we went there with Odile to make the final check on the realisation.
It is incredible how access to water is important. The children of the school and their parents are so grateful that it is almost embarrassing. This is really rewarding and just makes us want to do more.
Proverb of the week

“A dishonest politician is like a kite: he is swollen with wind, he is adorned with beautiful colors to seduce, and when flying he is usually manipulated by someone who pulls the strings!” Daniel Confland
