Boys are generally sent to school, so they can take care of their parents later. This is very different for girls. After all, they get married and end up in another family.<\/p>\n<p>With good education, a child has a basis, more opportunities in life. ASAP Foundation provides a safe environment, good education and a hot meal. It is precisely this that often convinces parents to send their children to school, that they are well fed. In rural areas, school results are much lower than in urban areas. In Burkina Faso, most nursery schools are located in the cities and are run by private individuals who are mainly driven by profit. They can\u2019t walk back home for lunch and often skip lunch. This has an impact on their capacity to stay concentrated in class. That level does not match the level of education offered in ASAP\u2019s primary schools. Ze gaan tussen de middag niet naar huis en slaan daarom de middagmaaltijd over. Dit gaat ten koste van de concentratie tijdens de les.
