This month we would like to put the LAP, our secondary agricultural school, in the spotlight!<\/p>\n

Because the level of secondary education in Burkina Faso is quite low, we started a secondary agricultural school in 2011, so that the education fits in well with the level that the ASAP Foundation also offers in primary schools.
In addition to offering an opportunity to children from poor families, we are very proud that since last year we can also do this for children from refugee families.
There are more than 300 students at the LAP!<\/p>\n

The LAP offers a study program of 8 years which consists of:<\/h2>\n

Cycle 1:<\/em>
4 years of general studies (with some hours of agronomy and farming) in preparation for a national exam (BEPC) and<\/p>\n

Cycle 2:<\/em>
– 2 years of agricultural studies in preparation for the national exam (BEP A) and
– 2 years of agricultural studies in preparation for the national exam (BAC PRO A).<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

What are the costs per student per year?<\/h2>\n

541 euro for the 1st cycle (61 euro is paid by parents, 480 euro scholarship). 700 euros for the 2nd cycle (100 euros by parents, 600 euros scholarship).<\/p>\n

How can you help?<\/h2>\n

If you want to support a student with, for example, 480 euros per year (1st cycle) or 600 euros per year (2nd cycle), that\u2019s more than welcome. Of course we can also convert this into a monthly contribution of 40 or 50 euros per month!
Would you prefer to support them with uniforms, school supplies or meals, for example? Then that\u2019s of course also possible by using one of the QR codes below.<\/p>\n
